Wynstone Fire Station News:
The Board of Directors is pleased to announce the Wynstone Fire Station is completed and the North Sioux City Fire Department has moved two trucks on site. The result of several years' efforts to complete this project - will be quicker emergency response time which could be the difference between minor damage and serious loss.
The 0% Interest loan through the USDA is in place - thanks to the efforts of Union County Electric and the Rural Electric 'Reed Fund'.
The Insurance Services Office will be on site the end of January to re-evaluate the fire protection rate for the Dakota Valley Fire District. Pending approval, the rating should go from a Class 10 rating to Class 4, which should reduce homeowner premiums. According to the NSCFD, we will be issued correspondence once the new Fire Station is approved and re-rated. Please check with Community Management for a copy of this correspondence some time in the first few weeks of February, 2019.
